In both instances this should not be a problem. Obviously some websites are going to be more complex then others, with on-going costs that could actually become a drain on a companies finances, but with some careful planning and decent communications with the web design company this should not become a problem. An example of a website that may have high on going costs would be a site like eBay, the online auction site. Because they have so many visitors, they will have to pay an equally high cost for the bandwidth that they are using.
