Good websites then will use CSS which is another type of script that allows for more control over the positioning of individual items around a page. This way rather than automatically moving left to write as you enter text and starting at the top left corner of the page, you can start the text from any location around the screen determined with pixel coordinates or percentages. You can also set different fonts and styles, images and backgrounds for any of these points around the screen; all of which gives you the same kind of freedom with designing your layout as you might experience just putting a pen to paper.

The images should then be crisp and will likely be designed using Paint Shop Pro or a similar image editing software. This creates images a long way from those you’d get from paint which have a lot of background noise and large blocky pixels. Using Paint also gives the designer more freedom and more options allowing them to add motion blurs, light sources and other effects, or to cut images out of a background seamlessly. A well designed website will use these images in a large way to leave little open space (unless that space has been purposefully incorporated into the website design).
